LAST JUNE THE BILINGUAL SECTION AT LOS PEDROCHES SCHOOL ORGANISED A WEEK IN HASTINGS ,WHERE A GROUP OF STUDENTS OF 3º AND 4º ESO LIVED A LANGUAGE EXPERIENCE IN FAMILIES COMBINED WITH ENGLISH LESSONS AND LOTS OF ENTERTAINING ACTIVITIES.

THIS IS HOW SOME OF THEM FEEL ABOUT THIS END OF THE TERM TRIP

OUR EXPERIENCE AT HASTINGS

I had never imagined an adventure as cool as travelling with firends until last summer when it came true.
Our high school had planned an end-of-term trip to a big city at the south of England called Hastings. Everybody got excited and started getting prepared for it. At the end, around 50 of us signed up for it and we waited impatienty for the departure day.
Every single last of us was scared about the moment of the arrival and the meeting with our host families. But all the fears disappeared when we saw how amazing the city was and saw which our high school would be during our week at Hastings.

My experience with the family was nice and I didn't have any type of problem, the food was very good and the house was quite comfortable.

We also did some activities with three teachers that were with us the whole trip and with whom we had lots of amazing moments.
The tour through London was amazing despite of the fact that the most important buildings were being restored and the demonstration against Brexit.

One of the best parts of the trip was the day in Brighton, a city where we enjoyed visiting because of the variety of places we saw.

I would high recommend these immersion programmes because it is an incredible opportunity to travel and learn about a different culture and with friends, which I think it is what makes the travel unforgettable.

 AN UNFORTTABLE EXPERIENCE!

Our trip began on 20th of June and it lasted until the 26th of June. There,we stayed in local people's houses, where we didn't pass a lot of time because we were always doing activities like doing local sightseeing or having lessons at an gorgerous high school or going to others cities like Brighton or London.During the trip Miriam and Freddy guided us .My favourite part was the trip to Brighton because I had never heard something about it and when we went,I was shocked! it was amazing! Brigthon has a beautiful beach and an enjoyable pier, an awesome and unique Pavilion and very funny and agressive seagulls. It was an incredible and unforgettable trip.

LONDON AND BRIGHTON

The day that we went to London was the best day of our trip. When we arrived, the first thing we saw was the famous “London eye”. We took lots of photos, it was amazing! Then, we were walking along the park of St. James until we arrived at the Buckingham Palace. There were “the guards” they didn’t move at all!, it was incredible.
Later, teachers gave us free time to eat and walk around London by Piccadilly. We had lunch at a restaurant where we made a friend who was Spanish, we talked to him and it was a very funny moment. When we finished eating, we went to several stores and then we returned to Hastings.
We had a great time that day, we really liked the atmosphere in London and its people.
We went to Brighton too, it was very exciting!
Brighton has got a very famous pier, which we visited. It is a promenade that has an amusement park, street markets, and beach bars...
We enjoyed ourselves a lot, but in our opinion the seagulls were very pushy! but it was a new fun experience for us.

I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THE FAMILY I HAD !

When we went to Hastings, we were accomodated in a host famliy. I stayed in a house with two friends. My host family lived outside the town, it was far away and we had to take buses every morning to arrive at Sussex Coast College, our school.

My host family consisted of my host mum, dad and four children. The youngest son was nine months old and the oldest ten years old. We had a good time playing with them. My host mum was an amazing and wonderful woman. She was so nice with us and she was always smiling.
My host dad was cool! He worried about us. At night, he laughed in a strange way, he was so funny!. My brothers and sister were the most adorable children in the world. I have only been living with them for four days but I can't express how gratelful I am to have met them.

A LOT FUN GUARANTEED !!

Hi everyone! I'm Luna and I'm going to tell you about my fantastic experience in Hastings. If you haven't heard about this trip, seriously, do you live in Narnia or something?

We visited not only Hastings, but also places like London or Brighton (where there was a breathtaking Harry Potter shop).

Every day we had a lot of free time, my squad and me usually used it to go shopping or to make friends. Besides, EF prepared nice activities in the city such as asking people stuff about Hastings or taking pictures in different places with clues!

If you're thinking about the classes, they're not a problem, I swear. They're utterly dynamic and the teachers are eager to listen to you participating and speaking in English.

Moreover, most of the families are fairly qualified to take students in their house. Imagine they have to be evaluated by EF every time a student arrives.

In a nutshell, Hastings is one of those unforgettable experiencies and I recommend it a lot!!
